Hot Air Balloon Ride over Luxor, Egypt
One of our representatives from Min Travel will pick you up from your hotel. Then, you will be transferred to the west bank via motorboat to enjoy, a Balloon Flight over Luxor. The Balloon ride usually lasts about 45 minutes and offers breathtaking views of the Sky of Luxor. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.

In the early morning, a representative will meet you at the reception of your hotel in Luxor. They will transfer you to the west bank by motorboat where you will take a balloon flight over Luxor. Before your ride, you can enjoy cake, coffee, or tea. The balloon ride lasts approximately 45 minutes in the sky of Luxor. After the ride, you will be transferred back to your Luxor or Nile Cruise hotel.

During the flight, the pilot maneuvers the balloon to find air currents that are moving in the desired direction. Although the direction of the Balloon is subject to the wind, our experienced pilots can direct and control the balloon during the flight, making it appear as if the balloon is being steered.”
Once you’re up in the air, you won’t feel any turbulence or wind as you become a part of the air currents. The basket remains completely still in the air mass that holds it. In the peaceful conditions in which we fly, there is nothing that can cause the basket to sway, and the sensation of movement is much more subtle than that of an elevator ride.
Please dress casually for the balloon ride. Wear jeans and flat-heeled shoes as you may need to walk through fields, even though we usually land close to a road. Although the temperature inside the balloon is the same as the ground, you may want to bring a light jacket in case you feel cold. It’s recommended to wear layered clothing for your comfort.
Don’t forget to bring your camera and plenty of film. Our crew will be happy to take pictures of you in the balloon.
Light rain is usually not an issue if wind conditions are stable. However, we would avoid scheduling a flight if rain is anticipated as it would significantly increase the weight of the fabric. Rain can sometimes be associated with unstable and unpredictable winds which can be more troubling for us given the large volume of the balloon. Cloudy conditions often provide the best flying conditions, although they may disappoint photographers.

Most foreign currencies, cash, or traveler’s cheque can easily be changed in Egypt. There are many exchange bureaus in the larger cities but they mainly only deal in cash. Visa and MasterCard are good for cash advances and together with American Express JCB cards and Euro cards can be used in a wide range of shops and hotels. If you are traveling to lesser tourist areas while touring Egypt, the best currencies to have are US dollars, Pounds Sterling, and Egyptian Pounds.

Deciding when to come to Egypt depends a lot on where you want to go. In practice, however, many nationalities (including British and European, Australian, New Zealand, USA, and Canadian) can and do obtain their visas on arrival at Cairo airport. The process is much quicker and simpler, the cost is currently US$25 p/p and must be paid in hard currency (i.e. GBP, USD, or EUR) – you’ll be given a change in local currency if necessary.
There are no forms to fill in and you don’t need to bring passport photos. Visas are issued at one of the bank desks in the immigration hall before you get to passport control. Our representative will have met you by this stage and will assist with the process.
