Ras Mohammed National Park
The southern tip of Sinai where two seas meet. Snorkelling from the beach at Yolanda or the marina, mangrove walks, and a lookout over the Straits of Tiran. Take at least a full day.
Can you reach the pyramids from Sharm?
Only by flight (1 hour to Cairo, then a Giza day, then flight back). The road is 8 hours each way through Sinai and Suez — we don't sell it because nobody enjoys it.

When to visit Sharm El Sheikh
Sinai stays warm year round. Winter is the sweet spot for daytime comfort and evening walks.
March – May, October – November25–30°C, calm water, best diving conditions.
June – September33–38°C, hottest but with dry heat and cool evenings.
December – February22–25°C in the day, chilly evenings. Water still 22°C — divers need wetsuits.
Mount Sinai climbsAny month works. Winter nights up top are 0°C, so full layers required.

Most nationalities can get a visa on arrival or apply online before travelling. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.

The currency is the Egyptian pound (EGP). US dollars and euros are widely accepted at hotels and cruise boats; local shops and cafés want EGP.
ATMsWidely available in Cairo, Luxor and the resort towns. Withdraw EGP for local spending; the exchange rate is fine.
Guide tippingUS$10–15 per person per day is the norm. Driver US$5. Restaurant staff 10% if not on the bill.

Egypt is generally safe for tourists, especially in the main destinations. Standard travel-health precautions apply.

Egyptians are famously hospitable, and small courtesies go a long way. The below is the minimum.
PhotographyAsk before photographing people. Never photograph military or police installations.
RamadanSites stay open with shorter hours. Many restaurants close during the day; hotels serve normally.
AlcoholAvailable in hotels, cruise boats, and licensed restaurants. Not sold in supermarkets during Ramadan.
HagglingExpected at Khan El Khalili and the papyrus/perfume shops. Start at 40% of the asked price. Not expected at supermarkets, restaurants or hotels.

Yes. The sunrise walk up Mount Sinai, usually paired with a visit to St Catherine's Monastery, is one of the signature Sinai experiences and a very different day from the reefs. It involves a night departure and a steady climb to reach the summit for dawn. Our private tour handles the timing, transport and entry so you can focus on the walk.
Very much so. Ras Mohammed National Park has shallow reef shelves that are superb for snorkellers, not just divers, and the boat trips there suit mixed groups. Because the tour is private, snorkellers and divers in the same party can be looked after on the same day. Equipment and park entry are arranged for you.
