Honeymoon Egypt tours are the packages we design for two travellers, with the balance tipped toward slow days and long evenings rather than sightseeing efficiency. Every honeymoon tour includes suite upgrades where available, dinner set-ups the hotel would not automatically arrange, and a private felucca in Aswan.

What we change for honeymooners

Ask the hotel to say "congratulations" and it is a card and a plate of fruit. Ask us and it is a suite category up where the property allows, a Nile-facing balcony on the cruise, and a felucca privately booked for the two of you at sunset. Small things, arranged in advance.

The Old Cataract Aswan

Book a Nile Junior Suite for the Agatha Christie balcony. Their Egyptian Suite is the setpiece — expensive, worth it for one night if the budget stretches.

Private dinner on the cruise sun deck

Every cruise boat we work with will set this up on request — a two-person table on the top deck with candlelight, a fixed menu and a bottle from their list. Around $80 supplement.

Timing

October to April for the weather. If you can go late October or early November you get warm evenings and thinner crowds; late December and early January are the peak weeks for a reason but book three months out.

“Our guide Hoda knew every corner of the Valley of the Kings and got us in before the coaches arrived. Fourteen days and not one wasted morning.”

“Our flight to Aswan was cancelled the night before. The team rebooked us, moved the hotel and messaged at 1am to confirm. We didn't lose a single site.”

“The boat is comfortable rather than glamorous — be clear on that. But the guiding was the best of the three trips I have taken to Egypt.”

Travel tips for Egypt

The things guests ask us on the phone, answered properly. Written by the team who meet you at the airport.

When to travel

October to April for the archaeology. May to September for the Red Sea, at roughly two-thirds of the price.

November – FebruaryPeak season. Luxor sits at 23–25°C, ideal for tombs and temples. Busiest and priciest — book about three months ahead.
March – April, October – NovemberOur own favourite. 29–35°C, noticeably thinner crowds, and prices below the December peak.
May – September41°C in Upper Egypt by lunchtime. Excellent for Hurghada and Sharm, hard work in the Valley of the Kings unless you finish by eleven.
Nights get cold8°C in Luxor in January is normal, and cruise sun decks are chilly after dinner. Bring a jacket — nobody expects to need one.
What we'd book. Late October or early November for a first trip — warm enough for the coast, cool enough for the tombs, six weeks clear of the Christmas crowds.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

A honeymoon tour is tipped toward slow days and long evenings rather than sightseeing efficiency. We build in suite upgrades where the hotel allows, dinner set-ups the property would not arrange automatically, and a private felucca sail in Aswan, so the trip feels celebratory rather than a checklist.

Yes. Rather than the standard card and plate of fruit, we ask the hotel for a suite category upgrade where the property allows and arrange Nile-facing rooms and private dining set-ups. Let us know the occasion when you enquire and we build these into the itinerary in advance.

A private felucca sail in Aswan is part of our honeymoon itineraries, giving you the Nile to yourselves at sunset. Most couples pair this with a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan; we can book a balcony cabin so the river views are private to the two of you.

Yes. Every honeymoon tour is designed for two travellers, with your own licensed Egyptologist, private air-conditioned transport and start times set to your pace. Nothing is shared with a group, so the days are entirely yours.

Book as early as you can, because suite upgrades, balcony cruise cabins and specific hotels are limited and go first in peak season. Enquire by our form or WhatsApp and you will get a fast reply with a written itinerary; tours are free to cancel more than 30 days before departure if plans change.
