Our story
Started because the tours we saw weren't good enough
Min Travel began in 2009 with one guide, one driver and a view that most Egypt itineraries were built around the operator's convenience rather than the traveller's day. Sites visited at the worst hour because that suited the bus schedule. Shopping stops that existed to pay commission. Guides who had learned a script rather than studied Egyptology.
Seventeen years later the team is bigger but the rules have not moved. We employ our guides rather than hiring them by the day. We inspect the hotels and the cruise boats ourselves. And we take no commission from any shop in Egypt, which is why nothing gets added to your afternoon that you did not ask for.
The name comes from Min, an ancient Egyptian god associated with travel and the eastern desert roads — the one caravans invoked before setting out.

No. There is no online checkout on this site and no deposit to see a plan. Send your dates and a rough idea, and a consultant replies with a draft day-by-day itinerary and a real price within one working day. Nothing is committed until you say so.
Yes — a registered Egyptian tour operator licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, with an office at 28 Moeizz El Dawola Street in Nasr City, Cairo. We are IATA accredited and carry full liability cover on every departure. Ask and we will send the licence number.
No. Our own guides, our own drivers, our own vehicles. The only things we buy in are hotel rooms, cruise cabins and flights — and we inspect the hotels and boats ourselves before we put anyone in them.
You enquire, we quote in writing. If you want to go ahead, a 20% deposit confirms the booking through a secure Stripe link, with the balance due 21 days before arrival. Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure.
English on every departure. French, Spanish, German and Italian guides are available with notice — tell us when you enquire and we will confirm before you commit to anything.
Domestic flights inside Egypt are included in most packages and we book them for you. International flights we can quote separately. For visas we will tell you exactly what your passport needs, and our representative helps you through the process on arrival.
