Egypt and Jordan Tour
We most often visit the hotels and accommodations listed below on this tour. We may occasionally exchange these for similar properties at the same level. In general, specific hotels cannot be guaranteed on our group tours, but you may select your preferred options if you are booking a tailor-made trip.
When you travel with Min Travel, you can expect a safe journey that arrives on time. We carefully select our representatives and drivers based on their attitude and extensive knowledge of Brisbane’s roads. If there is a potential issue on the way, we do our best to avoid it. In addition to this, there are other things you can expect from us. And you might ask, what are those things?
When you arrive in Cairo, a Min Travel representative will assist you with passport control formalities, luggage identification, and portage. They will greet you and help you through the process. You will then be transferred to your hotel by a private air-conditioned car or mini-bus, where you can check in and spend the night.
After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up and take you to Giza. There, you can see the famous Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerionos. You can also visit the Great Sphinx, which guards the Royal Burial Chambers and the temple of Cheops.
Next, you will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, located near the city center of Cairo. The museum has an impressive collection of 5,000 years of art and is home to the world’s largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art.
After that, you will travel to Coptic Cairo, where you can visit some of the oldest Christian churches in the world. You will first visit the Hanging Church, also known as El Muallaqa, dedicated to the Virgin Mary and believed to have been built at the end of the 3rd century. You will also see the Greek Church of St. George on the outer wall.
Then, you will visit the Church of St. Sergius, a perfect example of Coptic churches and monasteries. It was founded at the end of the 4th century and stands on a crypt that is said to have sheltered the Holy Family during their flight from Egypt.
Finally, you will visit St. Barbara’s Church, built between the 4th and 5th centuries. It has preserved the ruins of Saint John. You will be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
Your guide will pick you up and transfer you to St. Catherine. You will have the evening free to spend at leisure. Spend the night at a hotel.
Your day will begin with an early breakfast at the hotel followed by check-out. Then, you will climb Moses Mountain, which is 2,285 meters high, to catch the breathtaking sunrise view. After descending, you will visit St. Catherine Monastery. Later, you will be transferred to Sharm El Sheikh in a private car or minibus. You will spend the night in Sharm El Sheikh.
Our representative will meet you at your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, and they will transport you by private vehicle to Taba. From there, you will take a ferry boat to Aqaba. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our Meet and Assist representative staff at the Aqaba border. They will help you finish the necessary formalities, and then you will exit to the hall where you will meet your professional guide. Your guide will then take you to Petra, where you will visit the ancient city. Petra is a legacy of the Nabataeans, industrious Arab people who settled in southern Jordan over 2000 years ago.
To access the site, you must walk through a kilometer-long chasm (called a siq) where the walls soar 200 meters upwards. At the end of the siq, you will see the treasury, which appears dramatically. Various walks and climbs will reveal hundreds of buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, and colonnaded streets. After your visit, you will be transferred back to Aqaba to take a ferry boat to Taba. Upon arrival, we will transport you back to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
Early morning, have breakfast, check out of your hotel, and take a bus to Cairo. Check-in at the hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.
Our Min Travel representative will pick you up from the hotel for an early morning breakfast and assist you during your final departure at the airport.

We strongly recommend booking your tour in advance. However, if you need to make a late or last-minute booking, we will do our best to arrange it for you based on the availability of hotels.
“We don’t offer ticketing services for both international and domestic flights.”

It is important to note that you should not leave the airport without our representative if you are scheduled to be picked up. English is spoken and understood throughout most tourist centers in Egypt. All of our guides are qualified and recognized by the government. They will assist you during your sightseeing in Egypt. We can arrange for guides who speak German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Italian, or Chinese to accompany you. Our tour guides will not only help you with your sightseeing, but they can also provide useful tips to help you better understand Egypt during your journey.
Egyptians are known for being hospitable and friendly people. You will likely find most people you talk to to be friendly. When interacting with locals, feel free to speak to anyone you like. However, it’s important to be cautious of people who may be too eager to help you or are insistent on selling you something.
We recommend that our guests consume bottled water and bottled drinks. Coffee and tea should be consumed hot. If you are traveling without a guide in Egypt, you may ask the waiter not to include any chilies in your ordered dish. We suggest that you stick to only cooked foods, and if you wish to eat fresh fruits, please remove their skin before consuming.
In Egypt, tipping is a common practice, and it is expected that bus drivers and tour guides receive tips at restaurants. However, the amount of the tip is up to you, and it depends on how satisfied you are with the services you received.
To give you an idea, here is a rough guide to tipping:
– For a group day tour, the bus driver should receive LE 150, and the guide should receive LE 200.
For a private day tour, the bus driver should receive LE 100, and the guide should receive LE 150.
It is customary to tip LE 5 per bag for baggage handling.
Remember to give these tips directly to the driver and guide after the services are provided.
If you are taking a Nile Cruise, the recommended tip is around $3 to $5 per person per night. For instance, if you are two people and have a four-night cruise, the total tip amount would be $32 (4 x 4 x 2). You can leave the tip at the end of your cruise trip.
Most foreign currencies, cash, or traveler’s cheques can be easily exchanged in Egypt. There are numerous exchange bureaus in major cities, but they primarily deal with cash. Visa and MasterCard are suitable for cash advances and along with American Express, JCB cards, and Euro cards can be used in several shops and hotels. If you are visiting lesser tourist areas while exploring Egypt, the best currencies to carry are US dollars, Pounds Sterling, and Egyptian Pounds. Banking hours are usually from Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
All major currencies and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Amex) are accepted in Egypt.
To confirm your tour, we require 50% of the total tour cost at the time of booking. This is to ensure that your booking is genuine and that we can proceed with the necessary reservations. The remaining payment must be made in cash upon arrival.
When planning a trip to Egypt, the timing of your visit should depend on your preferred destinations. If you’re heading south of Cairo, including Luxor and Aswan, it’s best to avoid visiting during the summer months (June-August), as the heat can be quite uncomfortable. The best time to visit these areas is during the winter months (December-February). On the other hand, the Mediterranean coast is most crowded during the summer, so if you’re planning to visit this area, it’s best to plan your trip from March to May or September to November. During these months, the days are warm, and you can avoid the midday heat of high summer and the crowds on the beaches. Finally, it’s worth noting that winter in Cairo can get fairly cool, so you may want to pack accordingly if you plan to visit during this time.
Our Private Tour Package offers you the luxury of having your own private local tour guide, private vehicle, and private driver exclusively for your group. You won’t have to share the vehicle with anyone else, and your tour guide will only focus on your group’s needs. Your private tour guide will be there to assist you throughout the trip.
If you are traveling with your family or a group of friends, a private tour for your group is the ideal option. As the tour cost is divided among more people, it won’t be much higher than a join-in group tour. It is an excellent way to save money while enjoying the ultimate service.
To ensure smooth travel, please make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months after your planned departure from the country. It is recommended not to bring a passport that is almost full or nearly expired. Please note that visa arrangements are solely the responsibility of the traveler, and the requirements may change according to the local authorities.
We recommend that you contact your closest Egyptian consulate or embassy for current information about your nationality.
In general official advice is that all nationalities obtain their Egypt visas in advance, as we cannot guarantee that you can get them at the airport. Or you can get An online e-visa. Please do not use any other website as many scam sites are offering Egypt e-visas.
In practice, however, many nationalities (including British and European, Australian, New Zealand, USA, and Canadian) can and do obtain their visas on arrival at Cairo airport. The process is much quicker and simpler, the cost is currently US$25 p/p and must be paid in hard currency (i.e. GBP, USD, or EUR) – you’ll be given a change in local currency if necessary.
There is no requirement to fill out any forms or bring passport photos. You can obtain visas at one of the bank counters located in the immigration hall before reaching passport control. At this point, our representative will have already met you and will assist in the process.
All nationals from Africa, India, and certain other countries must obtain visas in advance.
