2 Day Trip to Cairo and Luxor from Hurghada Tour Itinerary

Day 1: (L+D)Fly to Cairo - Tour the Pyramids, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

Our representative will pick you up from Your hotel in Hurghada and transfer you to Hurghada Airport to catch your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, pick up and start your guided tour in Giza, visiting the legendary majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerionos to view these spectacular man-made monuments.
Afterward, a tour of the great Sphinx; guarding the Royal Burial Chambers and the temple of Cheops. In the afternoon, we will visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which was established in 1902, near the city center of Cairo.
Next on our agenda is a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaars, which date back to 1382. Shops in this district are legendary for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more!
At the end of the day tour, transfer you to the Railway station to coach your sleeper train to Luxor. Overnight on board.

Day 2: (B)Arrive Luxor - Visit East and West Banks - Transfer to Hurghada by bus

Early morning, arrive at Luxor Railway station. Our representative will meet you to start with a guided tour of the Temple of Karnak. It is a city of temples built over 2000 years and dedicated to the Theban triad of Amon, Mut, and Khonsu. For the largely uneducated ancient Egyptian population, this could only have been the place of the gods.
After that, visit the Temple of Luxor, which is close to the Nile and parallel to the riverbank. King Amenhotep III who reined 1390-53 BC, built this beautiful temple and dedicated it to Amon-Re, king of the gods, his consort Mut, and their son Khonsu.
Transfer you across the Nile River to the West Bank to visit the famous Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings has two components – the East Valley and the West Valley. It is the East Valley, that most tourists visit and where most of the tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs are located.
The tour ends with a visit to the Temple of Hatshepsut named Deir El Bahari, one of the most beautiful royal mortuary temples. Then stop to see the two Colossi of Memnon. At the end of the day tour, transfer you to Hurghada by Air Condition bus.

The bus driver for a private day tour: LE 100,-
Guide for a private day tour: LE 150,-

The best time to travel Egypt

Deciding when to come to Egypt depends a lot on where you want to go. Everywhere south of Cairo is uncomfortably hot in the summer months (June-August), especially Luxor and Aswan, so winter (December-February) is the best time to visit these areas. Summer also the time when the Mediterranean coast is at its most crowded, but winter in Cairo can get pretty cool. March to May or September to November is the best time to enjoy the warm days without the crush of bodies on the beaches and the midday heat of high summer.

What is a private tour package?

Our Private Tour Package means you will have your own private local tour guide, private vehicle, and private driver for your group. You don’t have to share the vehicle with others. Your tour guide will take care of only your group. With the help of your private tour guide.

If you are traveling with your family or a group of friends, a private tour for your group is ideal. As you will have more people in the group, the price won’t be much higher than a join-in group tour. It is a good way to save money and enjoy ultimate service.

Can I get a visa on arrival in Egypt?

Passports should be valid for at least six months after you depart from the country. Please do not bring an almost full or almost expired passport. Visa arrangements are the responsibility of the traveler, and requirements are subject to change by the local authorities.

We recommend that you contact your closest Egyptian consulate or embassy for current information about your nationality.

In general official advice is that all nationalities obtain their Egypt visas in advance, as we cannot guarantee that you can get them at the airport. Or you can get An online e-visa. Please do not use any other website as many scam sites are offering Egypt e-visas.

In practice, however, many nationalities (including British and European, Australian, New Zealand, USA, and Canadian) can and do obtain their visas on arrival at Cairo airport. The process is much quicker and simpler, the cost is currently US$25 p/p and must be paid in hard currency (i.e. GBP, USD, or EUR) – you’ll be given a change in local currency if necessary.

There are no forms to fill in and you don’t need to bring passport photos. Visas are issued at one of the bank desks in the immigration hall before you get to passport control. Our representative will have met you by this stage and will assist with the process.

All African & Indian nationals, and some others, will need to obtain their visas in advance.
